哈利勒·哈什米大使在中国合肥举行的2026国际乡村创新与发展博览会(IRID)上发表讲话,邀请中国企业与科研机构同巴方在高产杂交种子、气候适应性农业技术等方面开展合作。
哈什米在全球可持续农业峰会(GSSA)论坛上向与会代表表示:“我们正将数字农业与乡村经济振兴列为优先事项。”他明确指出,旨在提升奶肉产量的畜牧遗传育种,以及先进小麦分子生物学技术研发,是双边合作的核心重点领域。
大使还强调了高附加值产业投资潜力,将聚乳酸(PLA)生产列为战略合作方向。该技术可将玉米等农产品剩余转化为可生物降解塑料,也是其考察安徽丰原生物产业基地的重点内容,该基地聚乳酸年产能达4万吨。
哈什米还提议在未来的国际乡村创新与发展博览会中设立专门的农业分论坛,并邀请全球可持续农业峰会秘书处将下一届全球峰会设在巴基斯坦举办,以促进中国投资者与巴方相关方直接对接合作。
Pakistan is seeking to secure Chinese technical expertise in buffalo genetics and molecular biology to address domestic food security and modernise its agricultural exports, Pakistani ambassador to China said.
Ambassador Khalil Hashmi, speaking at the International Rural Innovation and Development (IRID) Expo 2026 in China’s Hefei, invited Chinese firms and research institutions to partner with Pakistan on high-yield hybrid seeds and climate-resilient farming techniques.
"We are prioritising digital agriculture and the revitalisation of our rural economy," Hashmi told delegates at the Global Summit on Sustainable Agriculture (GSSA) Forum. He specifically identified livestock genetics—aimed at boosting dairy and meat output—and the development of advanced wheat molecular biology as critical pillars for bilateral cooperation.
The ambassador also highlighted the potential for value-added industrial investment, citing polylactic acid (PLA) production as a strategic interest. This technology, which converts agricultural surpluses such as corn into biodegradable plastics, was a focal point of a diplomatic tour of the Anhui BBCA Biochemical Complex, which maintains an annual capacity of 40,000 tonnes.
Hashmi further proposed the establishment of a dedicated agriculture sub-forum at future IRID editions and invited the GSSA secretariat to host its next global summit in Pakistan to facilitate direct engagement between Chinese investors and Pakistani stakeholders.
