扬州大学—苏格兰农业学院农业高质量发展学术研讨会在扬举行

4月2日，扬州大学-苏格兰农业学院农业高质量发展学术研讨会在文汇路校区农业与生命科学大楼报告厅举行。副校长潘志明，苏格兰农业学院首席运营官兼副校长Gavin Macgregor出席会议并致辞。

潘志明向代表团表示欢迎。他指出，学校与苏格兰农业学院学科结构契合，希望两校进一步落实科研攻关、合作办学及师生互访等合作机制，让务实合作结出累累硕果。

Gavin Macgregor表示，期待双方在农业可持续发展、粮食安全等领域深化合作，共同培养具有国际视野的高素质农业人才。

苏格兰农业学院兽医学与生物科学学院教授Peter Hastie、自然科学与社会科学学院教授Richard Armitage，我校农学院副教授程明翰等专家围绕会议主题作了学术分享。

我校师生代表40余人参加会议。

Yangzhou University-Scotland’s Rural College Symposium on High-Quality Agricultural Development Held in Yangzhou

On April 2, the Yangzhou University–Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) Symposium on High-Quality Agricultural Development was held in the Conference Hall of the Agriculture and Life Sciences Building at Wenhui Road Campus. Vice President Pan Zhiming of Yangzhou University and Gavin Macgregor, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive of SRUC, attended the symposium and delivered speeches.

Pan Zhiming extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that the disciplinary structures of Yangzhou University and SRUC are highly compatible, and expressed the hope that the two institutions would further implement cooperative mechanisms in research collaboration, joint programs, and faculty and student exchanges, so as to yield substantial results through practical cooperation.

Gavin Macgregor expressed his expectation for deepening cooperation in areas such as agricultural sustainability and food security, and for jointly cultivating high-quality agricultural talents with a global perspective.

Experts including Professor Peter Hastie from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biosciences at SRUC, Professor Richard Armitage from the School of Natural and Social Sciences at SRUC, and Associate Professor Cheng Minghan from the College of Agriculture of Yangzhou University delivered academic presentations on the symposium theme.

Over 40 faculty and student representatives from Yangzhou University attended the symposium.
