Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture
Founded in 1958, Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture(BVCA)is a public full-time higher vocational college in Beijing, focusing on agriculture.As a construction unit of the national "Double High-Level" vocational education program, and the NDRC's Industry-Education Integration International Excellence Program, BVCA serves as Lead Director of both the China Urban Agriculture Vocational Education Group and the Beijing Urban Agriculture Vocational Education Group, and has been selected as one of the "Top 50 Higher Vocational Colleges in China" in the 6th edition of this ranking.
BVCA currently has more than 9,600 full-time students and 775 faculty members, comprising 8 schools, including Horticulture and Landscape, Animal Science and Technology, Food and Bioengineering, and Intelligent Agricultural Engineering, forming a program cluster that covers the entire industrial chain of urban modern agriculture. Rooted in its founding spirit, agricultural mission, and vocational commitment, BVCA actively supports the Belt and Road Initiative and Beijing's development as an international exchange hub. BVCAhas been admitted as a member of the Luban Workshop Alliance and serves as a standing council member of the China-CEEC Alliance of TVET Institutions. The collegehas partnered with 57 institutions in 21 countries. It has signed cooperation agreements with Edutus University and Wickler International University in Hungary, launching regular mutual visits, joint curriculum development, and mutual recognition of academic credits.12 BVCA faculty members are listed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs' expert pool for foreign agricultural technology assistance, accounting for 1/3 of the national total. The college runs overseas agricultural training centers in Asia, Europe, and Africa, and has developed the Silk Road Agri-Craftsman training brand. Its overseas branch model is featured in the China Vocational Education Quality Annual Report, and its internationalization efforts have been covered by media such as CGTN and China Education Television.
Over 800 international students have studied at BVCA, and have won the Grand Prize at the “Silk Road Craftsmen” International Skills Competition.
