Prof. Kensuke Fukushi is the Director and Professor at the Institute for Future Initiatives, The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on advancing sustainable solutions through environmental engineering, risk assessment, and the study of climate change impacts. He has extensive expertise in water resource management, biological technologies, and membrane technology, aiming to address global environmental challenges and promote resilient societies. Professor Fukushi’s interdisciplinary approach integrates cutting-edge science and policy to foster innovation for a sustainable future.

Prof. Nejc Bezak currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Chair of Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, University of Ljubljana, and is Research Coordinator at the UNESCO Chair on Water-related Disaster Risk Reduction (since 2024). His main research fields are extensive and focused on hydrology and related disaster prevention and control, covering hydrology, soil erosion, water resources management, sediment transport, extreme events, climate change, natural hazards, statistical analysis and nature-based solutions He has profound research accumulation and professional influence in relevant academic fields.

基于自然的解决方案（NbS）不再只是末端治理手段，更是构建水循环经济、打造气候韧性城市的核心抓手。面对城市地区日益严峻的干旱、洪涝与水质挑战，基于自然的解决方案能提供一体化应对路径，既修复自然水循环、维系生态系统服务功能，又能实现环境、社会与经济的协同效益。

本专刊诚邀跨学科研究与实践导向类论文投稿，探讨城市基于自然的解决方案如何实现水资源的恢复、储存与回用，同时助力达成更广泛的城市可持续发展目标。投稿内容可涵盖理论概念创新、实证案例研究、模型方法构建、设计创新实践及治理框架研究等方向。

Prof. Wang Yaosheng is a Researcher at the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development in Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), holding a PhD from the University of Copenhagen. He also serves as a PhD Supervisor. He has presided over many national-level projects, tasks, and sub-projects, including the National Key R&D Program, National Major Science and Technology Tasks, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. With long-term engagement in scientific research within the field of agricultural resources and environment, his work focuses on the perception of crop water and nutrient signals, intelligent diagnosis, precision and smart agriculture. His research endeavors to address the scientific application of water and fertilizer for variable-rate operations and smart decision-making, and he has developed an integrated observation and intelligent service platform to support this work.

Prof. Ningbo Cui obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Agricultural Water Conservancy Engineering from Northwest A&F University in June 2004 and a Doctor of Engineering degree in Agricultural Soil and Water Engineering from the same university in June 2009. Since July 2009, he has been working at the College of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering, Sichuan University, where he was promoted to Associate Professor in July 2014, appointed as Master’s Supervisor in 2015, exceptionally promoted to Doctoral Supervisor in 2017, and exceptionally promoted to Professor in 2018. His long-term research focuses on the principles and technologies of irrigation and drainage, as well as the theories and technologies of optimal water resources allocation, with core research directions including green and efficient agricultural water use and optimal allocation of water resources in irrigation districts, water-saving and quality-improving irrigation theories and technologies, principles and technologies of precise regulation and control of smart water and fertilizer at large regional scales, remote sensing-based ET management, and theories and technologies of irrigation district modernization. 

可持续农业的发展，关键在于对淡水资源进行高效、公平且具备韧性的管理，在易发生干旱或降雨异常的区域，这一点尤为重要。有效的水资源管理能够提升作物产能、维护生态系统稳定、改善土壤健康，同时增强农业生产系统的气候适应能力。

在景观尺度上，流域综合管理推动各利益相关方协同合作，实现农业发展需求与生态保护目标的平衡。具体措施包括保护河岸带、修复湿地，以及管控上游土地利用方式，以此维持水体的水质与径流稳定。水资源的开发利用往往会影响国家间及国际层面的关系。

政策与治理体系同样至关重要。水权界定、水价形成机制，以及针对水资源保护措施的激励政策，共同决定了水资源的配置方式与利用效率。

随着气候压力不断加剧，能否科学开展水资源管理，将成为决定全球农业景观韧性与可持续发展能力的关键因素。
