Advancing Swine Genetics and Industry Development Through Collaboration

Recently, True North Genetics was pleased to welcome a delegation from Universidad Nacional de Agricultura (UNAG), Honduras to our farm for an in-depth exchange and collaboration opportunity. During the visit, the delegation toured our facilities and selected high-quality breeding stock to strengthen genetics and improve herd performance in Honduras.

UNAG is dedicated to agricultural and livestock education, research, and industry development. The university operates its own teaching and production farm, where pigs are raised as part of its practical training and research programs. The farm also supports local producers by providing quality breeding stock and practical knowledge, contributing to the continued development of the swine industry in Honduras.

During the visit, both teams engaged in meaningful discussions on genetic improvement strategies, breeding programs, herd health management, and modern production systems.
