Dalian Ocean University (DOU), founded in 1952, is the only university in northern China featuring marine and aquaculture disciplines, with coordinated development of agriculture, engineering, science, management, arts, law, economics and fine arts. Co-sponsored by Liaoning Province and the State Oceanic Administration, it comprises three campuses: Huanghai, Bohai and Wafangdian. Aquaculture is a top-tier (“Double First-Class”) discipline in Liaoning and ranks nationally; Plant & Animal Science is in the ESI global top 1%. It offers 12 first-level master’s programs and 7 professional master’s categories (including Master of Agriculture), dedicated to training high-level talents for marine agriculture, blue granary and rural revitalization.
